Once used to ferry precious cargo from Thar Desert Silk Route to the trading ports of the India & Pakistan, they are now your sturdy “all terrain vehicles” for getting around in the desert. With a bit of assistance from your guides, you'll soon be slipping into the pace of the caravan – at leisure to take in the spectacle and silent grandeur of the desert as you ride across the dunes.

It seems that a love of music and storytelling runs through the veins of everyone in desert – and our guides are no exception. Join us for our nightly campfires – full of song and rhythms of the desert. By the end of your visit you'll be drumming and signing along!
It might appear that not a lot happens in the desert, but the reality is different. It’s not exactly teeming with life, but your guide will show and explain to you all sorts of interesting things…be it fauna, flora, bird and insect life and the dunes themselves. Guided walks are of about 2 hours’ duration, but can be tailor-made according to your interests.Our two hour guided walks are very popular with our guests – but you may also arrange to have longer or shorter walks during your stay.
The oasis, which is 7 km from the camp, is a beautiful spot for a tranquil lunch.
You can have a long and relaxing lunch in the dunes, under the shelter of a Khejri tree.
This is a particularly strenuous activity involving walking up a sand dune for 15 minutes and sliding down for 30 seconds. It’s akin to snowboarding, without the lifts. It’s huge fun.Don't be intimidated! No experience is needed to take advantage of this unique desert adventure – just determination. It's a heart pumping workout and amazing fun – running up the dunes and surfing your way down. The fine desert sand makes the perfect “wave” - and a great cushion for your landing.

With no light pollution, the night sky is very clear.Our camp is far away from the bright lights of city – and perfect for viewing the night sky. As the clear sky slips to a deep inky blue, the stars and planets shine like diamonds scattered across the Universe. You'll easily spend hours – amazed by what you've been missing.
The breathtaking desert landscape is perfect for both the professional and amateur photographer. Its actually quite difficult to take a bad picture here – especially at sunrise and sunset. Our guides will be happy to make suggestions for times and places where you can take wonderful photos – so you can remember fond memories and plan to visit us again!

If you are looking to challenge your physical fitness, few will argue that climbing across the dunes makes for an amazing workout. It is also just a lot of fun! If you plan to venture out for a long walk out of range of the camp, please request an escort with a Berber guides. It is very easy to get lost in an unfamiliar terrain. Never forget to bring water – it is available at all times
